It embodies a dream of resilience, a promise of a brighter future, and a testament to the indomitable human spirit. The village consists of 100 homes, a bakery, a clinic, a school, and a masjid.

Building Homes, Hope, and Resilience

Our vision for Mercy Village is both ambitious and practical. Our goal is to create a self-sustaining community with more than 100 homes, constructed in collaboration with our partner, the United Humanitarian Foundation. The heart of the village will be the Mercy Bakery and Mercy Kitchen, which will not only provide shelter but also nourishment, warmth, and a sense of community for all residents.

At the core of Mercy Village lies the Mercy Bakery, a pioneering program that established free bakeries in Yemen and has since expanded its reach to Pakistan and Turkey, with aspirations to grow globally. Dedicated to producing fresh, nourishing breads and pastries, Mercy Bakery ensures that every resident has access to wholesome food. Complementing this initiative is the Mercy Kitchen, a haven of warmth and love, dedicated to providing free meals to the underprivileged, ensuring that no resident goes to bed hungry. Together, Mercy Bakery and Mercy Kitchen form the backbone of a community where dreams are nurtured, and opportunities are born.

Humanity for Relief and Development (HRD) is a non-profit organization founded in 2015. We were formally registered as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 2018. Since our inception, we have provided relief and development assistance to thousands of families in Yemen. Our goal is to help those in need and make a positive impact on the lives of others. We provide an opportunity for donors to help us make a difference in the lives of others.
