What Will Donor Support Provide?
Immediate humanitarian support and uninterrupted access to clean water
Our solar-powered water filtration unit, the OASIS Box Family, was specifically engineered to address the clean water crisis in Gaza. Each solar-powered unit (with battery-backup) removes 99.99% of chemical and bacterial contaminants, providing uninterrupted access to clean water. The unit is light-weight and fitted with straps for families on the move.
Long-term and sustainable access to clean water
Gaza needs a long-term solution that provides technological advancement for Palestine to grow and prosper.
Our community solution, the OASIS Box is a solar-powered filtration unit, which brings a submersible water pump, life-saving bacteria filters, a water storage tank and a unique data tracking system into a single, transportable unit. Each Box can be deployed in 7 minutes (on a water source) and provides up to 10,000 litres of 99.99% clean water daily. The OASIS Box is PURPOSE-BUILT for off-grid villages and refugee camps. We don’t just promise, but GUARANTEE at least 5 years of impact (expected life: 20+ years).
How will Bondh E Shams Get Supplies Into Gaza?
Our team of experts is monitoring the volatile situation and working with a robust network of local and international partners in Jordan and Egypt including the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), to transport our water filtration kits into Gaza.
What is Bondh E Shams’s Track Record in Water Projects?
Bondh E Shams is a dedicated water charity and since 2014, we have installed water projects in 145 villages and refugee camps and currently serve an estimated 150,000 people daily across six countries: Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, South Sudan and Turkey. Update: Relief Aid in Gaza - Solar Water Project
This Dhul Hijjah, we bring you an important update on our Gaza project. In line with our mission to provide relief to the people of Gaza amid the humanitarian crisis, we have successfully distributed essential items like food, baby milk, and diapers to those in Gaza.
It is pertinent to mention here that our mission in Gaza is to provide safe and clean drinking water through our OASIS Box Family units. We're pursuing this initiative in collaboration with our on-ground implementation partners, and our progress is contingent on the ever-changing restrictions and border controls. While we await the green signal for that, we will continue actively pursuing other projects aimed at providing immediate relief to the people of Gaza.

This Ramadan, Give Your Zakat for Clean Water to Gaza
Dear Donors,
We are reaching out to thank you for your support to Solar Water Project - Bondh E Shams and to provide an update on our Gaza Campaign.
We have initiated a pilot project for displaced Gazans in the Jerash refugee camp, Jordan, which is home to over 35,000 people and is amongst the most impoverished Palestinian refugee camps. The camp's infrastructure is inadequate, with issues such as lack of a proper sewage system, unpaved roads, and unreliable water access. Our OASIS Box family units (water filtration units) have been dispatched to the camp. Additionally, we are also collaborating with UNRWA to get our boxes into Gaza.
